Over time, a style of painting evolves. Looking back I can see how far I've come with my Zafer style. This painting entitled “The red goat” was first painted in 2014 then, looking at it with my 2017 eyes, I decided to retouch it because the graphics and the colors used no longer corresponded to the direction the Zafers had taken. This evolution is even more visible on the paintings painted 19 years ago, when I was beginning to develop the style.
Avec le temps, un style de peinture évolue. En regardant en arrière je peux voir le chemin parcouru avec mon style Zafer. Ce tableau intitulé « Le cabri rouge » a d’abord été peint en 2014 puis, en le regardant avec mes yeux de 2017, j’ai décidé de le retoucher, car les graphismes et les couleurs utilisés ne correspondaient plus à la direction qu’avaient prise les Zafers à ce moment-là. Cette évolution est encore plus visible sur les tableaux peints il y a 19 ans, au moment où je commençais à développer le style.
